I bit the bug and under the thoughts of 'doing it right' and 'let it be the best you can do', I signed up for the gibbstony_athon. I'm trying to limit myself to just one ficathon and then I saw that highwaymiles challenge is going to start soon. I'm going to sign up only if the first ficathon response is going well. At least that is what I'm telling myself.

Aside from ficathon issues, my fic writing should be starting soon. Soon as in tonight. Really, I'm mean it. Just as soon as I make progress on the notes for my midterm exam. Essay Questions. Uggh!

I'm going to be working on Harry Potter, which is the first fandom, I considered writing in and then maybe try to write some NCIS plots. Though I'm not really enthused as my plot bunnies in response to canon are quite lackluster.

Yesterday, I caught up on most of the Supernatural episodes up till "Born Under A Bad Sign" and I'll be posting my comments on those eps in another post later tonight. Yes, I am a Supernatural fan. Surprised? So was I. It snuck up on me.

Same for House, he's fast sneaking up on you, even with the bum leg. Need to watch at least 4 eppies of the show which I missed.

But the current fandom obssession is this old cancelled tv show called "Magnificent Seven" and if I'm good in March, I have designated the Season One dvds as a reward. I love Ezra Standish too. Massive crush on the guy and I haven't even seen the show yet.

Need to see the latest Numb3rs eppie too.

Hello, my flist and happy Valentine's day!
 I know it seems a bit late to post this but I have been busy all day and now have to type an overdue paper and study for a test.
Had dinner with an old friend at Steak & Shake and our very big meal came up to the same total. $10.97. I'm now at work with my looong break.

 With long breaks in my work schedule,  I had earlier sat and decided on the spur of the moment to check my lj and my email account to see whether I received any comments. To my surprise and indignation, I found that nearly all of the replies to my comments weren't sent to my email addy as per the notification system.

  And with sandersyager's  help, I was able to see that my lj settings were fine, it was my yahoo email account that was acting screwy, despite my spam filter being set to the lowest possible level. I switched my email addy on lj so I should be getting notifications. So double yay!

At least work wasn't boring then......

ETA- Apparently, I wasn't the only one with this problem and it was a problem with lj than Yahoo. Glad its fixed.

School closed around 2 pm and I'm killing time till I have to get to work.

 And I'm really wishing for a beach and warm sunny weather now.  It is still snowing.

The roads are slushie  and I really wish I could not go to work.

P.S- Should I get a permanent account?

Feeling the last few days. Been coughing really badly and had to miss Thursday classes. There's a cough drop in my mouth every half hour or so.

With busyness abouding everyday, I'm been feeling rushed. I really should start on the fic writing but I want to set down a day or just an alloted time to work on it. I have no classes on Friday so I'll set 3 hours to work on fics then and on Monday and Wednesday, I work on an hour on them. Weekend will be devoted to homework.

This is my first attempt to really try and organise my life. I have been filling up my organizer a lot and trying to follow through with what I have planned.

Watched Blade Trinity yesterday. Didn't like it as much as the first two movies though I squeed at seeing CKR. (Oh, Callum Keith Rennie!!!)
The lead villainess looks so thin that her fangs are bigger than her face. Played Halo yesterday too with a friend.

Today was the first day of my job at a local repertory theatre as an usher. This year they are using some new tech like hand held scanners nearly all four of them except mine broke down. The laser would just shut down after a while. I had to keep reconfiguring mine and logging on again. So after that my feet hurt from my dressy pair of boots and I'm sitting in my friend's room in her comfy chair and working on my assignment for tomorrow's class.
Oh LJ, how long have I missed you...

I haven't gone to sleep yet. My mind has gone off to a kibbutz but I still have an urge to type an entry at 1:23 am in the morning. I was busy doing some of my arabic stuff which I need to complete. Yesterday after finishing my first section, I visited www.snopes.com to research urban legends in order to inspire some sort of a plot for a paranormal NCIS ficcie that would work well with my 100_situations prompts. Instead, I got hit by another plot and am now inspired to write a NCIS casefile. Meep.

And while I was still wired from the coffee I consumed, and from which closing my eyes and counting, did nothing to aid me in my quest for morpheus. This was at 6:00 am yesterday morning. Instead plot bunnies started whirling in my mind and fandoms clashed together. I kept seeing Detective Anthony DiNozzo with the CSI crew by which time I had completely lost my mind and came to the conclusion that coffee and the lack of sleep do have the same effects as recreational drugs. I seriously contemplated writing that massive x-over and have now assigned it to the pile of bunnies that will only be considered for mass consumption after a few years.

Also, I have reccing to do. Nothing Else by sandersyager which is a fab story for those csi fans that love Greg & Warrick. Definitely an "awww!" moment.

It has been a depressing weekend lately. My computer has broken down again and I’m at the library typing this entry out. My hard drive, apparently, not connected properly so I might need to screw it well again.

Lastly, I managed to install Tomb Raider: Legend on to my laptop and I wept for joy. This game is so perfect in so many ways. I’m going to stop my drooling for now.

I’m busy with class and reading all the fics I can find. My brain has reached a stage where all my fic inspiration has evaporated. My muse, why have you deserted me?

I’m using the Macs in the library… so I’m offline tonight. I can’t seem to download AIM Express. I’m trying to get used to Mac because I like these OS better than PC. I might buy a Mac book after a year or so.

I have also gotten a bit obsessed about vampires again. I’m trying to find books that are good and about vampires. Like my icon?
